Client: Hold Fast Coffee Co
Role: Design + Direction
Type: Brand Identity

Hold Fast Coffee Company is located in Colorado Springs, CO and had been around for 4 years and established themselves as a well-respected craft coffee producer and also a trusted partner for businesses. Their service and relationships were exemplary and as such they had a thriving business that was ready for the next step in their visual brand identity. Their main goal was to translate the same care that goes into their relationships into their visual brand identity.

I was the sole designer for the brand identity, packaging, website, and I also set the overall art direction for the brand.

Once the brand assets were in place, the packaging and photography was next. We created a bag that would stand out in the local context and also serve as a versatile canvas for all the things they wanted to do (special roasts, monthly changing of roasts, etc). Utilizing gold foil, simple icons, and clean lines we arrived on a beautiful packaging and labeling system unique to their brand.

Then we went to work developing a photography asset library. I art directed the shoot and utilized Karen Mitchel for the photography. The goal was to create approachable photography that isn’t so much focused on the drink, but on the relationships formed around the drink.
